How do I begin a review of Soul Plane? With the word Nigger of course! Nigger nigger nigger nigger! (If you are offended at this point Soul Plane is not for you, otherwise read on!) My friends are well aware that for the most part I despise modern comedies (not all of them now, but a lot of them). I believe that the best comedies contain well written believable characters in slightly exaggerated humorous situations, however modern comedies seem to have this arseways instead having completely over the top unbelievable characters in everyday situations. Soul Plane however amalgamates both of these elements having completely over the top characters in an over the top situation; the key difference here is they are all black, which makes it hilarious for me, a Caucasian male. I am not a racist, I'm Irish; the two cancel each other out. :) Therefore I enjoyed this as a guilty pleasure. Jessy Terrero is from the Dominican Republic so therefore the movie is acceptable satire of his own people; however in this day and age if Walt Disney was still alive and brought to court for his views on the Emancipation Proclamation, I'm pretty sure Soul Plane would be his entire defense! This is not a good movie, but it is certainly not a bad one. I despise the 'leave your brain at the door 'policy some people have for movies (those movies make profit therefore encouraging the production of more of them and rotting the industry from the inside out); however Soul Plane is not guilty of this, there are some genuinely very funny moments in it, and that's coming from a hard man to please when it comes to comedies, NIGGA!

How the hell did you end up watching this? Was it because it has Snoop?
