Following directly on from seed of chucky narratively,Curse of chucky the 5th instalment in the series,is a high budget(for the horror genre)genuine attempt to make a scary chucky
movie...Mistake No:1. Chucky by its very nature is schlock,serial killer Charles lee ray voodoo's his soul into the body of a chucky doll "TERRIFYING"...no but the first four movies they realised this and are played for laughs with lash's of sex and violence...fun!,not curse nothing happens for an hour,they spend this time attempting to building tension and clichéd character's for the inevitable slaughter,which when it finally comes is lacklustre besides mabeye two brief scene's and one notable nod to lucio fulci(it may have been accidental).Then there's some tacked on bullshit with jennifer tilly to open the franchise up for more sequal's,on the whole the weakest chucky yet.
dull and predictable 4/10.
