The conjuring directed by james wan, who gave us "saw" and the "insidious" movies seems to have matured somewhat. The conjuring is a slow building drama with demonic possession, set in the 70's it reminded me of "house of the devil" having a similar aesthetic and atmosphere, its not as original as house but the characters are likeable enough to suck you into the story and once the horror kicks in your invested. There are some very well executed set piece's and wan is much more restrained with the camera then say "saw", over all its defiantly worth a look nothing you haven't seen before but very entertaining 6/10.
