BLUE CAPRICE
Alexander moors first feature film is a brooding character study of a damaged ex military black man living in Washington state and his newly adopted(not legally) son,a teenage boy deserted by his mother angry and confused he seem's to initially admire his surrogate father figure, the two soon start to feed on each othe's aggression and fear, the movie takes it's time building the feelings of isolation and violence until the inevitable conclusion.
I enjoyed blue caprice visually the film was very interesting washed out city streets and ominous skies. The performances are strong,in fact my only gripe with the film is the pacing for a movie that's 90 mins long it felt unnecessarily slow. But on the hole its a fairly gripping portrait of manipulation, suffering and of course horrific, senseless, indiscriminate murder. 6.5/10
