It's almost a
cliché to say it at this stage but this is Woody Allen's best film in years, probably since Crimes and Misdemeanors. I enjoyed Midnight in Paris but this is a much stronger film with a bit more weight to it. Cate Blanchett is nailed on for an Oscar nomination, a career best performance from her. I think Woody has a good shot at screenplay and directing nominations as well. He's still got it. Recommended.
